Re-Attune: A Transferable Sensory Participation Framework

Presence counts as participation.
Re-Attune sensory participation framework and human connection

Re-Attune is a transferable sensory participation framework designed for community, wellbeing and cultural settings.

Developed through participatory artistic practice in community and intercultural contexts, Re-Attune creates low-threshold entry points to engagement through sensory experience, embodied awareness and everyday interaction.

Participation does not require verbal disclosure, artistic skill or emotional performance. Instead, participants engage through sensory experience, observation and embodied interaction.

What this sensory participation framework offers

  • non-verbal participation
  • sensory-based engagement
  • artist-developed facilitation framework structured
  • 6–12 session format adaptable to community, cultural and wellbeing settings

What it addresses

Many adults experiencing loneliness, psychosocial stress or social withdrawal disengage from conventional participation formats that rely heavily on talking, emotional disclosure or performance.

Re-Attune offers an alternative access point to participation through the senses and everyday experience.

Through this process, the framework supports:

  • belonging
  • embodied awareness
  • social connection
  • gentle re-engagement with shared space and group presence

without clinical framing or pressure to disclose personal experiences.

Re-Attune is adaptable for:
